G.I.N.A Signed into Law.  The 13-year journey of the Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act (GINA) finally ended at the White House yesterday, as President Bush signed the popular bill into law. As a result, health insurers and employers will face criminal charges if they refuse coverage or raise premiums on customers due to the results of genetic tests.

This is significant because it opens the way for early screening of potential cancer symptoms without patients worrying that insurance companies will drop their policies. Dr. Taubmann mentioned this bill at our April 7th cancer support meeting. Continue to pray it through.  Read the article...
